Lady Bowen
The Trust is named in memory of Lady Diamantina Roma Bowen and her dedication to assisting Queenslanders in need. Her statue is located outside Old Government House in the QUT Precinct in Brisbane.
Through targeted financial assistance , the Lady Bowen Trust assists people in Queensland who are experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of homelessness, to stabilise their lives and build a better future.
The Trust tailors support to help people with complex, individual needs to address issues that contribute to homelessness. These include mental health issues, drug and alcohol abuse, domestic and family violence and young people who have exited the care system.
The independent trustee of the Lady Bowen Trust is the Public Trustee of Queensland who is assisted by a Board of Advice consisting of leaders in the business, community and not-for-profit sectors
